Abstract
Induction Motor is one of the most important components in the generation system. Induction motor is used as a tool to carry out the electricity generation process itself. Therefore it is necessary to do special treatment of the induction motor so that it can run optimally and not interfere in the process of the generation system. Special treatment that needs to be considered on the induction motor is the voltage and current. When turning on the induction motor, the voltage and current will change drastically, i.e. the voltage will decrease greatly while the current will increase. A reduced voltage will result in a voltage drop which can cause equipment damage and for high currents it can result in an unstable busbar, thus affecting the entire system. For that reason, it is necessary to do a soft starting so that during the induction motor life, no voltage drop and more current will occur on the busbar. Start before using the starting method of 63,8A, to start with the star-delta starting method of 23A and to start the VFD method of 11,61A
