Abstract

Building spiritualism is an attempt to refresh mentally or spiritually in the form of beliefs, faith, ideology, ethics and guidelines or guidance. building spirituality needed Spiritual Quotient (SQ), which is intelligence to face and solve problems of meaning and value, intelligence to place life in the context of a broader meaning of life, intelligence to judge that one's actions are more meaningful than others. For a Muslim IQ and EQ are not enough, must be balanced with a good SQ, many people have a high IQ and EQ but because it is not balanced with a good SQ, they commit crimes in the form of corruption and so forth. In the Koran there are verses that indicate spiritual intelligence, especially in al-T{a>riq . To understand this, interpretation is needed. Sayyid Qutb is one of the commentators who initiated a new thought and style in interpretation. Therefore in the research discussing spiritual intelligence in the study of the interpretation of Fi Zhilalil-Qur’an by Sayyid Qutb. The purpose of this research is to find out Sayyid Qutb's interpretation of spiritual intelligence and its characteristics in the Fi Zhilalil-Qur’an interpretation. This research is a library research using content analysis method that is by analyzing and understanding the interpretation of Sayyid Qutb in the interpretation of Fi Zhilalil-Qur’an on QS. al-T{a>riq about spiritual intelligence and its characteristics. The primary source of this research is the book of commentaries Fi Zhilalil-Qur’an by Sayyi Qutb published by gema insani press in 2001 in Jakarta. Secondary sources of research are books and related journals. The conclusion in this study Sayyid Qutb explained through his interpretation that in the QS. al-T{a>riq explains the meaning of spiritual intelligence means to interpret the nature of human creation and the nature of its creator, that every soul has a guard who oversees, the nature of man created to be monitored and will be judged according to his actions and the divine nature is almighty over everything. There are also four characteristics of spiritual intelligence, namely, having a clear purpose in life, always feeling the presence of God, a high level of self-awareness, the ability to deal with suffering and fear. Of all the characteristics of spiritual intelligence can be understood, if the red thread is drawn it will lead to one spiritual intelligence that is consistency or istiqomah.
