Abstract

The purpose of this study are: 1) Describe the contribution of students 'perceptions of teaching skills of lecturers to students' learning motivation Accounting Education Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. 2) Describe the contribution of future orientation to students' motivation in Accounting Education at Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. 3) Assessing the contribution of students 'perceptions of lecturers' teaching skills and future orientation to the learning motivation of students of Accounting Education at Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. This research is a type of research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of the 2017 accounting education study program. Samples were taken as many as 147 students with insidential sampling techniques. The required data is obtained through a questionnaire and documentation. The questionnaire was tested and tested for validity and tested for reliability. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, and relative and effective contributions. The results of the regression analysis obtained the regression line equation: Y = 11.058 + 0.369X1 + 0.282X2. The conclusions drawn are: 1) Students' perceptions of teaching skills of lecturers contribute to student motivation. It is based on the multiple linear regression analysis (t test) it is known that 5.446> 1.960 and the significance value <0.05, ie 0.000 with a relative contribution of 65% and an effective contribution of 24%. 2) Future orientation contributes to student learning motivation. This is based on multiple linear regression analysis (t test) known that 3,790> 1,960 and significance value <0.05, ie 0,000 with a relative contribution of 35% and an effective contribution of 12.9%. 3) Students 'perceptions of lecturers' teaching skills and future orientation contribute to student learning motivation. This is based on the analysis of the variance of multiple linear regression (F test) it is known that 26,438> 3,000 and the significance value <0.05, which is 0,000. 4) The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.369 shows that the magnitude of the contribution of students' perceptions of lecturer teaching skills and future orientation to student motivation is 36.9%, while the rest is influenced by other variables.
