Abstract

Islam has passed through its holy Koran, and it has explained the meaning of jihad itself, jihad is not only war that most non-muslims or muslims understand, but jihad is broad in nature, like jihad is meaningful in war, jihad is meaningful in moral, jihad against lust, jihad with goods and so forth. Based on the problem above, the focus of research problem in Muhammadiyah’s Petanahan is : 1) How is Jihadist verse understood Muhammadiyah’s Petanahan, 2) What effect is there in understanding the jihadist verse Muhammadiyah’s Petanahan in worship charity. Then the research objectives are : 1) To know the insight of jihad Muhammadiyah’s Petanahan, 2) To know the effect of understanding the verse of jihad Muhammdiyah’s Petanahan in worship charity. The benefits of research are: 1) Theoretical benefits: The results of this study hopefully can provide benefits and it is expected to give thinking contributions to development of science, primarily in religious science and the changes in advancing Islam, 2) Practical Benefits: it is hoped that this study will have far reaching benefits for the conversion of muslims especially Muhammadiyah’s Petanahan. It includes qualitative field research using a phenomenon approach. Data collection techniques employ three techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses three simultaneous pathways of activity to reduce data, presentation of data, and draw conclusions. The result of this study is a jihadist verse Muhammadiyah’s Petanahan various and extensive coverage. Jihad wasn’t just meant to be war, but the jihad can be interpreted amar ma’ruf nahi mungkar, jihad of treasure and soul. As for the effect of understanding the verse of jihad for Muhammdiyah’s Petanahan, affects the lives of private worship and charitable organizations.
