Abstract

This research is aimed to know and describe social phenomenon of teenagers who actively use social media instagram to show their self-existences. This research used online questionnaire and interview. The respondent of the research were one hundred people of 18-22 years old, who actively used social media instagram in order to show their self-existence. After the questionnaire were filled, 5 chosen respondents who suit the determined criteria were being deeply interviewed. The result of the research showed that instagram active users had different ways and objective to expose their self-existence. There are many factors of self-existence consisting of freedom to have and intention, responsibility and characters.
