Abstract

ABSTRACT Rohis stands for Rohani Islam is an intra-school organization formed to deepen students' knowledge about religious or practice of religious as well as efforts to help schools in developing good character among students of SMK Negeri 2 Sragen. This study discusses the role of Rohis in developing students' moral and religious consciousness in SMK Negeri 2 Sragen which is built based on the basis of: What is the role of Rohis, supporting and inhibiting factors which is faced by Rohis in developing moral and religious consciousness of students of SMK Negeri 2 Sragen? This research aims to describe the role of Rohis in the development of moral and religious consciousness of students of SMK Negeri 2 Sragen and to identify supporting and inhibiting factor which occurs in the development of students' moral and religious awareness through Rohis activities in SMK Negeri 2 Sragen. The research method used by the researcher is qualitative research. The research approach is the phenomenological approach with describing the meaning of the experiences of individuals or groups on a particular concept. Data collection techniques obtained by the researcher through observation, interview and documentation. The data analyzing include: reduction of data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research that has been done, the researcher get the result as follows: (1) Rohis have a role in developing moral and religious awareness: Rohis as a religious institution, Rohis as a dakwah institution and Rohis as a social institution (2) supporting and inhibiting factors in developing moral and religious consciousness of students, as follows: environmental factors, school’s support and worse communication, outdoor activities simultaneously.
