Abstract
This study aims to describe: 1). Condition of student confidence in SDN Candi. 2). Implementation of group guidance services in building student confidence. 3). The role of the BK teacher in building students' confidence through group guidance. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive research design. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data is analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The technique of checking the validity of the data using technical triangulation and source triangulation. Informants in this study were principals and BK teachers. The results of the study show that. 1). The condition of student confidence in SDN Candi is quite high. 2). The implementation of group guidance services at SDN Candi has gone well. 3). The role of counseling teachers in building students' confidence through group guidance at Candi SDN has been well implemented, with the existence of group guidance services students can foster a sense of confidence through several stages that exist in group guidance activities. Important group guidance services are carried out in schools because they suit a variety of students' own needs such as developing and encouraging student self-confidence. In accordance with the purpose of group guidance services, namely to encourage students to have the courage to express their opinions which then deliver students to achieve successful learning.
