Abstract

Mahesa Guitar UKM is a home industry that is engaged in making acoustic and electric acoustic guitars located in the Baki District area. Raw material planning is very influential on the course of guitar production. The problem in this study is related to the supply of raw materials, which have not yet applied good management of raw material inventories, such as when ordering materials that are carried out when it is known that the material has been used up, resulting in delays in the production process due to lack of raw materials. Therefore we need information that is expected to be a solution in planning raw material inventory appropriately and determining inventory costs can be planned as optimal as possible by applying the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method. The MRP method is carried out using 2 lot sizing method approaches to get the minimum total inventory cost of raw materials consisting of ordering costs, storage costs, and ordering time for the correct raw materials. In order to obtain the minimum material order planning of Rp. 602.053, - using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method.
