Abstract
Delta Merlin Dunia Tekstil IV is a textile company with a capacity of around 70,000 tons per year earns raw fabric products.. The complexity of weaving machines often caused failure, thus forcing the production process to stop. Therefore this research is conducted on the machine that aims to find the failure mode of the engine, identify the risk of failure priority, provide maintenance recommendations and identify the interval for repairing critical components. This study applies the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method, which is a structured method in determining alternative maintenance treatments that are based on security, operational category and economic. There are seven steps starting with system selection, system description, determination of system boundaries, FMEA, LTA and task selection. The results obtained failure mode, failure categories, priority failures, selection actions and component replacement intervals. This study produced a number of critical components including heald frame and travel, automatic dropper, seal flunger and sub nozzle in a row, the interval of repair or replacement with the reliability value of 259 hours by 20%, 299 , 4 hours by 36%, 314 hours by 33% and 285.2 hours by 32%.
