Abstract
Indonesia is an agricultural country but the level of imports of food raw materials is still high. This is because the production of corn is still volatile. This problem also occurs in research areas that experience fluctuating corn production to decline so that research is needed in order to find out the factors that inhibit corn production using surveys and laboratory analysis, with sampling using purposife sampling based on the unit of land obtained. Data were processed using the method of comparative analysis or "weight factor matching" and discrete analysis. The "weight factor matching" comparison method is used to determine the land suitability class and the limiting factor based on the assessment of several parameters used is obtained from the comparison results. Descriptive analysis method is used to explain land suitability classes and limiting factors to land suitability. From the research results it is known that the land suitability class for maize in the study area has a S2 class with an area of 1119 Ha or 16,% and a S3 class of 5550.8 Ha or 83.3% of the total area of the study area. Land suitability class S2 has a limiting factor for effective soil depth, soil pH, total N, P2O5, K2O and covers land units.
