Abstract

Abstract A young marriage is a marriage that occurs between a man under the age of 21 and a woman under the age of 19 years. The essence of marriage and the household is in need of emotional maturity and thought to face the role of parents. This research aims to understand the maturity of emotions in women who marry young. The informant of the research in select purposive sampling amounted to 6 individuals with married criteria at the age of ± 20 years. The data collection techniques used in this study are semi-structured interviews and data analysis using a discrete narrative analysis technique. Based on the results of the analysis can be concluded that the emotional maturity in women who marry young in general is that women have the ability to exercise roles as wives and mothers with the process of adaptation, facing problems in households With his own attitudes and ways and mastering anger by shifting activities. The factors affecting emotional maturity in women who marry young are internal factors (from within the individual self) includes good adjustment and external factors (from outside the individual) of the family environment.
