Abstract

Renny Setyowati / A520150068. IMPLEMENTATION OF SCAFFOLDING IN THE BEAM OF WOOD CENTER AT TK ISLAM KANITA TIARA BAKI SUKOHARJO IN 2018/2019. Thesis. Faculty Of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. November 2019. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) Implementation of scaffolding the environment. 2) Implementation of scaffolding the pre-play experience. 3) Implementation of scaffolding the individual child experience. 4) Implementation of scaffolding the post-play experience. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The research was conducted in TK Islam Kanita Tiara Baki Sukoharjo in the even semester. Data on four scaffolding collection using observation and interview methods. Sources of data obtained from the beam of wood center teacher. Data validation uses triangulation of source and technique. Data analysis uses interactive analysis of the Miles and Hubermen. Research results show 1) In scaffolding the environment, the teacher provides base play, beam, the main micro tools and literacy materials. Teacher arranged 5 geometry bases measuring 100 cm- 120 cm be played by the group and the arrangement adjacent. The unit beams are arranged according to the shape and size with order facing the child while the color beams in the box, the unit beams fixed of around 500 beam for 13-20 children. Restricted main micro tools and literacy materials consist of books. 2) In scaffolding the pre-play experience, the teacher reading a book according to the theme with the agreed building. The teacher only introducing vocabulary related themes and does not discuss the main concepts. The teacher decides the rules of play and devides the main group. 3) In scaffolding the individual child experience, the teacher makes visual looking on, questions, and directive statement, while non directive statement and physical intervention is not done. The teacher does not give TFP. 4) In scaffolding the post-play experience, cleaning up by classifying the beams according to the their shape and size to the shelf without being counted. Recalling is done by giving questions to each child.
