Abstract

This study aims to: 1) determine the profile of community Mount in the Kemukus Mountain in Pendem Village, Sumberlawang District, Sragen Regency; 2) describe the implementation of the tradition Larap Slambu in the Kemukus Mountain in Pendem Village, Sumberlawang District, Sragen Regency; 3) to describe the community views on the tradition of Prince Samodra Larap Slambu on mount Kemukus Mountain in Pendem Village, Sumberlawang District, Sragen Regency. This research is included in the type of qualitative research. The subject of the research is the person in charge of the volcanic tourism object, caretaker, visitor, and community around the mountain camp. The object of research is the community's view on the Prince Samodra Slambu's Larap tradition in Kemukus Mountain, Pendem Village, Sumberlawang District, Sragen Regency. Information collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. Information a validity uses triangulation of information sources and triangulation of techniques or information collection methods. Research information collection using interactive analysis techniques. The results of the study show that: 1) the profile of community in the Gunung Kemukus majority of the population relies on life in the fields of agriculture and trade; 2) the implementation tradition of Larap Slambu the beginning of the month of Suro and involves many people; 3) community's view on the tradition of Prince Samodra Larap Slambu on the Kemukus Mountain in Pendem Village, Sumberlawang District, Sragen Regency based on the researchers' findings of two positive and negative perceptions of this tradition. The impact of the tradition of Larap Slambu in the socio-cultural field is that the surrounding communities hold an annual event at the Tomb of Prince Samodra to commemorate, respect and at the same time improve the economy of the community and the village government.
