Abstract
In shaping the personality of students, a teacher must have a strategy that is to determine the attitudes or behavior of students that reflect that he is a student who has moral character. At present, student delinquency is no stranger to the teacher or the surrounding community. Students who we can say begin to climb this adolescent began to search for their identity through free promiscuity outside the school and even peers are very influential for the behavior of the students themselves. Therefore, it is very much needed an educator who has a strategy that can deal with adolescent problems including religious education teachers Islam. The study of the strategies of Islamic religious education teachers in dealing with delinquency in grade X students at the Muhammadiyah Delanggu vocational high school, aims to identify the shape of student delinquency and its causal factors and how the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in handling student delinquency. In this study using qualitative research. Collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation, then the data is analyzed deductively, that is processing it through a theoretical foundation which is then adjusted to the field data obtained. The results of this study can be concluded that the forms of delinquency in class X students at Muhammadiyah Delanggu vocational high school include being late for school, not wearing school equipment, violating school regulations, and other forms of delinquency such as dating and damaging school facilities. And the contributing factor is the first family environment second school environment third community environment. Then the strategy of Islamic education teachers in handling the delinquency of class X students at the Muhammadiyah Delanggu vocational high school in accordance with interviews and observations made to Islamic religious education teachers stated that the strategy taken was like giving counseling to students, giving advice, good words, and also doing things and actions that have good role models for students.
