Abstract
The study, entitled "Land Suitability Analysis for Starfruit Plants in Puring District Kebumen Regency", aims to determine the suitability of land for starfruit plants in Puring District and to know the factors that constrain land suitability for starfruit plants in Puring District. The research method used is a survey method in the form of observation, measurement and systematic recording carried out in the field. Stratified random sampling which takes one sample in each unit of land to be used as observations and measurements of the soil sampling. Data consists of primary and secondary data, for primary data from the field and laboratory. Observed and measured in the field such as effective depth, slope, drainage, rock outcrops, surface rocks and erosion features, while laboratory analysis such as soil texture, salinity, soil pH, KTK, K2O, P2O5 and total N. For secondary data in the form of supplementary data such as rainfall and land use in the study area. If all the data has been collected then the data is carried out a process of matching or comparing the characteristics of the land with the guidelines for land suitability class requirements for star fruit plants. The results obtained from the study are class S2 (quite suitable) which is spread over land units M12-II-AH-K, M12-II-RK-S, M4-II-AH-K, M4-II-RC-S, M4 -II-RK-K, M4-II-RK-S with sub-classes produced S2, t, w, r, f, n, S2, t, w, r, f, n, S2, t, w, r , f, S2, t, w, r, f, S2, t, w, r, f, S2, t, w, r, f. Whereas for S3 (according to marginal), land units include M12-I-AH-S, M12-I-AK-S, M12-II-AH-S, M12-II-AK-S, M12-II-RC- S, M4-I-AH-S, M4-II-AH-S and the results of its sub-classes S3, r, x.
