Abstract

Differences in the level of education possessed by each student's mother relate to the acquisition of learning achievement by each student. For example, if a student has a mother who only graduated from elementary school, even though her level of education is low, but she has felt successful, like having a successful husband, she will still feel inferior, and instead wants her child to have a high education.Based on preliminary observations made at SMP N 9 Surakarta in class VII, it was found that the highest level of education of mothers of students was S1 level, which was 39% and 23% high school. From this background there is a problem statement, namely how to the level of mother’s education and learning achievement of Islamic religious education. This study aims to describe the level of mother’s education and learning achievement of Islamic religious education for grade VII students of SMP N 9 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is field research. Field research aims to describe or describe and solve practical problems in society. Data collection techniques are field observations, interviews, and documentation. There are 4 components of the data analysis model used in this study: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The mother's seventh grade students' education in SMP N 9 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 Academic Year highest was at the S1 level. The average value of learning achievement of students of class VII in SMP N 9 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 Academic Year has a fairly good learning achievement with an average value class VII F, VII G, VII H above 8. And the highest mother's education level grades the students get the better.
