Abstract
Biogas naturally contains many elements which when burned do not produce energy, some even inhibit combustion like CO2. The high CO2 content in biogas affects the decrease in calorific value during the combustion process, so that a refining process is needed to move the gas content. This study aims to determine the ignition characteristics and the temperature of the fire needed to reach the boiling point of water. In this study the tests were carried out using filters made from zeolite, sediment cartridges, and CT0. In boiling biogas stoves using various filters and non-filters it was found that using a filter accelerates boiling water compared to without using a filter. The results of the study show the use of filters on flame temperatures and the air temperature produced by biogas stoves. The stove that was turned on obtained the real temperature of fire without using a filter reaching the highest heat in the 20th minute at 585 ° C and boiling at 20 minutes at 88 ° C. Then in the filter experiment the type of sediment temperature reached the highest heat at 20 minutes, 561 ° C and boiling at 20 minutes at 90 ° C. In the filter type zeolite the fire temperature reaches the highest heat in the 20th minute which is 553 ° C and boils at 20 minutes at 90 ° C. The experiment uses CTO Carbon filter type , the fire temperature reaches the highest temperature in the 20th minute at 560 ° C and reaches boiling at 20 minutes at 90 ° C. With the weight of water from all experiments at 0.8 kg
