Abstract
THE INFLUENCE OF COUNSELING USING BOOKLET MEDIA TO THE KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE OF PREGNANT WOMEN ABOUT EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING IN BAKI COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER IN SUKOHARJO Intoduction: Lack of pregnant women’s knowladge about exclusive breastfeeding is the reason why mother’s do not exclusively breastfeed their babies. Increase knowladge of pregnant women related to exclusive breastfeeding can be increased by nutrition education, one of which is through counseling, the media used in counseling is a booklet media. Based on a preliminary survey, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Puskesmas Baki in 2018 was 43,75%, which is still below the Sukoharjo regency standard >45. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of counseling with booklet media on the knowladges and attitudes of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding in Baki Community Health Center In Sukoharjo District. Research Methodologi: This research was a quasi-experimental research design with one group pretest posttest design. The subjects consisted of 44 samples of pregnant women, taken from 5 villages in the Baki Community Health Center. Pretest data were taken before the intervention in the form of counseling about exclusive breastfeeding one time with counseling using media booklets, Media booklets lent for 2 weeks and then taken posttest. Results: The study indicate that knowledge prior to counseling has a good value of 34.1%, after knowledge counseling has increased to 70.5%. Before counseling, the attitude was good enough by 43.2%, after doing counseling the attitude was quite good, increasing by 72.7%. The results of analysis data, there was effect of counseling with media booklet on the knowledge of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding using the Wilcoxon sign test shows that the value of p = 0,000, the results of analysis there was an effect of counseling with media booklet on the attitude of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding using the Wilcoxon sign test shows that value of p = 0,000. Conclusion: There was the effect of counseling with booklet media on the knowledge and attitude of pregnant women about exclusive breastfeeding.
