Abstract
MELSA NILMALASARI.J310171227 EVALUATION OF ADEQUITY OF MACRO NUTRITION INTAKE IN CRITICALL ILL PATIENTS THAT GET LIQUID FOOD WITH NGT ROUTES IN ICU Dr. MOEWARDI HOSPITAL Introduction: In critical patients hypermetabolism occurs which results in increased nutrient requirements. In critical conditions, glucose can be formed from protein and fat through the process of gluconeogenesis. When fat reserves are reduced due to energy breakdown, it can continue to become a heavy muscle mass and eventually cause malnutrition. Objective: This study aimed to determine the adequacy of macro nutrition intake in critically ill patients who get liquid food by the NGT route in ICU Dr. Moewardi Hospital. Research Methodology: This type of research was descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. Samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 30 patients. Results: The method of providing nutrition was bolus feeding with early time. On the third day, there was 33.33% gatric residue, 70% composmentis awareness level, while normal vital signs were 33.33% blood plessure, 86.66% heart rate, 90% respiration and 100% normal temperature. All patients used a ventilator with a patient position 30°. Adequate intake of macro nutrients that meet the target was enough energy 66.66% of patients, protein 40%, fat 63.33% and carbohydrates 76.66%. Conclusion: Adequate intake of macro nutrients that meet the target was enough energy 66.66% of patients, protein 40%, fat 63.33% and carbohydrates 76.66%.
