Abstract

J410110101 The relationship between the use of personal protective equipment and eye health disorders for workers in electric welding shop at districJajarLaweyan ABSTRACT The welder shop is one of the occupational hazards and dangers of accident and the emergence of occupational disease. The use of personal protective equipment is very important for workers to avoid work accidents. But there are still many workers who have not used personal protective equipment in the welding process. The study aims to determine the relationship between the use of personal protective equipment and eye health disorders for workers in electric welding shop at districJajarLaweyan. This research method using observasional design and cross sectional approach. Where the population is takenfrom all workers from 9 electric welding shop. With a sample of 30 workers. Eye health disorders occur due to not using personal safety protective equipment when doing the welding process. Fisher exact test result showed that the value of p value = 0,026. The results showed there was a relationship between the use of personal protective equipment with eye health disorders. Keywords :wearing personal protective equipment, eye disorders
