Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) Factors that influence teacher skills in choosing learning strategies that are in accordance with the learning styles of MIM PK Kartasura students, (2) Difficulties faced by teachers in choosing learning strategies that are appropriate to students' learning styles, (3) the teacher's way of overcoming the difficulties of choosing a learning strategy that is in line with student learning styles. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive research design. Data collection techniques used by researchers are observation, interviews, and documentation. Whereas for data analysis techniques are the way data is reduced, data presentation, and draw conclusions. For the validity of the data researchers used triangulation technique and source. The results showed that (1) There are several factors that influence teachers in choosing learning strategies in accordance with the learning styles of students at MIM PK Kartasura which are grouped into internal factors (factors originating from the teacher) and external factors (factors originating from outside), (2) In choosing a learning strategy there are some difficulties faced by the teacher such as the teacher must be able to adjust the learning strategy with the learning style that is owned by students, (3) To overcome the difficulties of the teacher in choosing a learning strategy the teacher is given a book about the selection of learning strategies according to the style student learning.
