Abstract
This research will discuss violence in a film. Mass media such as film is increasingly developing with a fairly fast and wide spread that makes everyone including teenagers enjoy it anywhere. At present, Netflix is the provider of online web videos containing films and drama series that make Netflix the competing Youtube video web that is widely accessed throughout the world. But on Netflix's web videos there are also many films that contain violent content like the one in the action film called “The Night Comes For Us”. This study aims to determine the frequency of violence in the film. This type of research is quantitative descriptive and content analysis research methods. The categorization of nonverbal and verbal violence is used as a theory and as the object of his research, The Film Comes For Us. The results of this study were the frequency of the overall nonverbal violence category Kicking of 209 scenes, strangling 36 scenes, hitting 307 scenes, slapping 11 scenes, breaking 50 scenes, using weapons or objects as large as 424 scenes, killing 155 scenes, and push for 48 scenes. While the frequency for the overall verbal violence category was to say roughly 87 scenes, threatening 25 scenes, and insulting 35 scenes.
