Abstract
Soybean is one of the legume species that can grow on dry land and has a very high source of vegetable protein so that it is widely consumed by the people of Indonesia. Cultivation and processing of land for soybean plants is done in order to meet the consumption level. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of suitability of soybean land and analyze the limiting factors to suitability of land for soybean plants. This study uses survey methods that aim to measure, record, and observe the condition of the research location. The results of this study are land suitability maps for soybean plants. Plupuh sub-district has two land suitability classes, S2 and S3. Class S2 (Moderatly Suitable) has an area of 2,240,364 ha (51%), the land limiting factors are: pH, N total, P2O5, K2O, slope and surface rocks. Class S3 (Marginal Suitable) has an area of 1,375,372 ha (31%), the limiting factor of the land is: soil texture.
