Abstract
The purpose of this study to determine: 1) Perceptions of school community against school-based multimedia literacy movement in SD Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta Ketelan. 2) Determine the forms of literacy in SD Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta Ketelan. 3) Determine the role of the school community in a multimedia-based literacy. 4) To know the challenges and solutions of the implementation of multimedia-based literacy. The research is a qualitative descriptive case study research design. Informants of this research is the principal, teachers, staff, students and parents. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. Data collected keabshaan examination data, using triangulation. The results of this study are: (1) Perceptions of school community to literacy-based multimedia. (2) The forms of literacy were applied, including basic literacy, library literacy, media literacy and visual literacy. (3) The role of the school community against school literacy-based multimedia. (4) Obstacles and solutions of literacy multimedia as follows: limited funding and supporting tools to the school gradually complete it, disapproval of some teachers and parents regarding the implementation of literacy programs based on multimedia cope with giving workshops and socialization. (3) The role of the school community against school literacy-based multimedia. (4) Obstacles and solutions of literacy multimedia as follows: limited funding and supporting tools to the school gradually complete it, disapproval of some teachers and parents regarding the implementation of literacy programs based on multimedia cope with giving workshops and socialization. (4) Obstacles and solutions of literacy multimedia as follows: limited funding and supporting tools to the school gradually complete it, disapproval of some teachers and parents regarding the implementation of literacy programs based on multimedia cope with giving workshops and socialization, lack of wifi network school overcome by providing amplifier wifi in every corner of the school, and lack of labor section of the library to maintain and protect the child overcome by adding a librarian so terproketsinya students.
