Abstract

This class action research has the objective to find out the increase in student cooperation through inquiry based learning models on the subject matter of natural science in living things in Class III MI Muhammadiyah Bolon, Colomadu. The number of class III students is 18 students. Methods of data collection through the observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are carried out by flow through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research was conducted for 2 cycles with the stages of action planning, action implementation, observations and reflections. After the research has been carried out it is proven that the inquiry-based learning model can improve the collaboration of third-grade students on the content of science subjects in living things. The results of this study: (1) There was an increase in student cooperation in the aspect of responsibility, from 4 students (22.2%) to 13 students (72.7%). (2) There is an increase in student cooperation in the aspect of communication skills, from 2 students (11.2%) to 15 students (83.4%). (3) There is an increase in student cooperation in the aspect of self-confidence, from 5 students (27.7%) to 14 students (77.5%).(4) There is an increase in student cooperation on aspects of tolerance for differences of opinion, from 3 students (16.6%) to 17 students (94.5%). Overall, there was an increase in the percentage of students' scores from 30% to 94.5%. Thus it can be concluded that the inquiry based learning model can improve student collaboration.
