Abstract
Music is a part of art that functions as a means of mass communication that is quite effective for the community. This study aims to describe the message of social criticism contained in the lyrics of the creation of A. Muhibbin's song. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data sources in the study are primary data obtained from song lyrics, while secondary data is obtained from books and journals. Data collection techniques using textual data obtained by the documentation method. Data analysis using the content analysis approach krippendorf model. The results of this study found that the song composed by A. Muhibbin contained criticisms that discussed the issue of education, the problem of crime, the problem of the younger generation in modern society, the problem of warfare, environmental problems, and bureaucratic problems.
