Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) Implementation of BTQ extracurricular activities in instilling the character of discipline and responsibility 2) Teacher constraints and BTQ extracurricular implementation 3) Teachers' efforts in overcoming BTQ extracurricular implementation problems This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The informants of this research are the principal, BTQ extracurricular supervisor, BTQ teacher, class IV homeroom teacher and class IV student who joins BTQ extracurricular activities. Data were analyzed through steps of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion conclusion. The technique of checking data uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that: 1) The implementation of BTQ extracurricular activities in instilling good character of discipline and responsibility, this can be seen from the indicators namely: students have carried out BTQ extracurricular activities in an orderly manner, responsibility for duties and duties as Muslims, be on time when starting and discussing BTQ extracurricular activities and discussing any activities related to BTQ extracurricular activities, worshiping with appropriate time, reading the Koran reading and writing using or translating sources related to the Koran on a daily basis. 2) Teacher constraints and applying BTQ extracurricular in Mangkubumen Kidul No.16 Surakarta Elementary School can be seen from: different characters and potential of students in easily and whether or not accepting material given by the teacher minus the teacher experience in class management also causes the teacher to lose 3) Teachers 'efforts in overcoming the problem of BTQ extracurricular implementation in Mangkubumen Kidul No.16 Surakarta Elementary School are: Implementing a group system in learning, doing private learning, learning to learn through tests every two weeks to find out students' knowledge achievement provides additional material to be learned at home , coordination with school principals and BTQ extracurricular coaches by gathering gatherings every Tuesday and Thursday morning / day.
