Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative research is to describe the communication skills of 21st century skill-based students in SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. Methods of data collection through documentation studies, observations and interviews, then data were analyzed using the interactive triangulation data model of Miles Huberman. The conclusion of this research is the management of students' Communication Skills at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta managed starting from the planning consisting of a letter of endorsement of the school principal so that 21st century competency-based teaching and learning activities include the field of Field Work Practices, Special Occupations, and Industrial Classes. At the implementation stage, online oral, written and communication skills have been developed. At the evaluation stage arranged in supervision, curriculum development and quality control of education. With this management, students have good speaking, writing and speaking skills holistically.
