Abstract

Antenatal Care visits are an important factor in reducing maternal and child mortality. The lack of achievement of the ANC K4 target, due to a lack of understanding of the Maternal and Child Health (KIA) guidelines, especially adherence to prenatal visits is still lacking. Knowledge is an important aspect that underlies a person's motivation to take action to take part in health services. In addition to knowledge, one other factor that influences adherence to ANC visits is attitude. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women with adherence to ANC visits in Surakarta City. This type of research is observational analytic using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all pregnant women who entered the third trimester at Nusukan, Sangkrah and Penumping puskemas. The number of research samples is 77 pregnant women. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between the knowledge and compliance of ANC visits in Surakarta, this is evidenced by the p-value of 0.00, There is a relationship between the attitude and compliance of ANC visits in Surakarta with a p-value of 0.002.
