Syamsudin/A410150170. ANALISIS KESALAHAN SISWA MENURUT TEORI NEWMAN DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA PADA MATERI BANGUN RUANG SISI LENGKUNG KELAS IX SMP NEGERI 1 COLOMADU. Skripsi. Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. April. 2019. This study aims to describe students' mistakes in solving story problems in the form of curved sides based on Newman's theory in class IX Public High School 1 Colomadu. The type and design of research in this study is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data uses triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. the results of the analysis and discussion concluded: (1) Error reading the problem by 8%, (2) Error understanding the problem by 6%, (3) Transformation errors of 29.2%, (4) Process skill errors of 31.6%, (5) Writing errors the answer is 25.2%. While the factors of students make mistakes as follows: (1) Students are in a hurry to write down what is known. (2) Students do not understand fractional operations. (3) Students forget the prerequisite material formula used to answer the questions. (4) Students cannot do multiplication of decimal fractions. (5) students are wrong in doing the previous process so students are wrong in answering the next process
