Abstract

This study aims to describe the inculcation of creative character and social care and what factors cause the loss of creative character and social care for Karang Taruna adolescents in Tambong Wetan Hamlet, Kalikotes Village, Kalilotes District, Klaten Regency. This research is a qualitative research, where in getting answers to the problems above I used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The object of this research is the inculcation of creative character and social care through youth activities in adolescents in Tambong Wetan Hamlet, Kalikotes Village, Kalikotes District, Klaten Regency. The indicators used in creative characters: 1) happy to try new things, 2) want to keep changing, 3) dare to express opinions or ideas, 4) have a high curiosity, 5) have imagination. The indicators used in the character of social care: 1) participating in social activities in the community, 2) being helpful to help, 3) respecting others, 4) polite and polite, 5) tolerance in differences. Data validity is done by triangulation of data sources and triangulation of techniques. Data analysis was performed by applying an interactive analysis model. The results of this study can be concluded that: 1) Planting creative and social care characters must start from the family environment, they already have these characters, 2) Creative character is necessary for today's youth so that later they can create a new and useful change for themselves or others, 3) The character of social care is a mandatory character for every human who lives together or in a community where they will help each other help, need help from others, 4) The factor of the loss of creative character is because when there are only a few members meeting, it causes them to create an impeded creativity and unstable nature of adolescents which blunt their imagination to create, 5) The factor of the loss of social care character starts from the family, when the family does not teach social care to their children later it is also indifferent to the environment around them, so the family factor is very important for the development of the child's character.
