Abstract
Karanganyar is a city that has many tourist attractions. One of them is a tourist attraction Parang Ijo waterfall. Parang Ijo is a tourist attraction that is still less desirable and known to people outside Karanganyar. Related to the lack of promotion on social media and from the news, to the access road to Parang Ijo's location which is inadequate and rises on the slopes of Mount Lawu. The purpose of this study is to determine what potential exists in Parang Ijo to be developed, and see what developments exist in these attractions to be able to develop a tourist attraction business. The method used is a SWOT analysis by looking at the Assessment indicators of the ISTA (Indonesia Sustainable Tourism Award). The results of this study are the Parang Ijo attraction depends on quadrant I with growth progress (Growth Oriental Strategy) so that the selected strategy is Strength-Opportunity (SO).
