Abstract
This study discusses perangkat seluler in the study of accounting education in Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. The purpose of this study was to study mobile device in learning learning accounting education at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative research with ethnographic design. The speakers in this study were 3 accounting education students and 2 accounting education lecturers. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation and interviews with students and lecturers. the validity of the data using source triangulation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, conclusions and verification. The results of this study prove that mobile device can improve student learning independence and study in class. Using a cellphone that makes it easier for students to work on and manage assignments, have long-distance discussions with friends, and students can find references to lecture material more efficiently. However, there is a negative impact on mobile use as is the case with mobile device that exceed the needs of learning and the lack of documentation in learning
