Abstract

The background in this study is the presence of students who violate the rules of discipline at school, including: lack of time discipline, being late for school, dressing less neatly and not speaking well, and therefore through the application of character education values to students is expected to form a character that well. The formulation of the problem in this research are the values of character education implemented through religious activities in grade VII students at Al-Hikam Banyudono Integrated MTs and how the strategies of character education values through religious activities in grade VII students at Al-Hikam Integrated MTs Banyudono. The purpose of this study is to identify the values of character education that are applied to grade VII students through religious activities in the Al-Hikam Banyudono Integrated MTs and describe how the values strategies are 2 applied to grade VII students in the Al-Hikam Banyudono Integrated MTs. This type of research is field research in Al-Hikam Banyudono Integrated MTs and the approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. This data source is from interviews with school principals Zainal Arifin S, Sos, Sri Rezeki S.Pd, and Laila Lahifah S.Pd and students named Rahmad, Hamid, Dhefana and Septi. While the subjects in this study are to schools, teachers and students while the object of this study is the application of the values of character education and religious activities. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. Researchers write data analysis by data reduction, data display and data verification. The results of this study indicate that students have obeyed the rules and discipline of time in entering school and dressing in school.
