Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present interactive learning media as a learning process in class as an effort to improve students' understanding of mathematical geometry, so students are better able to think more critically and solutively. The method used is Research and Development (RnD) with the procedure of developing the System Design Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model. The product developed contains learning material covering surface area and volume of flat side spaces (cubes, beams, prisms, pyramid) accompanied by videos, sample questions and discussions, HOTS-based quiz with randomize and leveling systems, scoring quiz, and quiz answer key. The results obtained by this learning media are feasible to use based on the assessment of media experts with a score of 75, media experts at 77.5, students at 71.375, all of whom are in the acceptable category using the System Usability Scale (SUS) score. Student learning outcomes in the class obtained an average pre-test score of 47, and an average post-test of 82. After testing the average increase or N-gain of the pre-test and post-test results of students with a difference of 35 get 0.6792 results which are in the medium category. It can be concluded that the learning media Math Geometry with the ability of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is able to increase students' understanding of mathematical geometry, and this learning media is effectively used in the learning process.
