Abstract

This study has two objectives. The first aims to identify acts of politeness in the language of the film Dilan 1990. The second aims to analyze the realization of politeness in the film Dilan 1990 language as a form of character education. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data carried out by researchers in this study is in the form of politeness acts of language that are spoken or spoken by film figures Dilan 1990. The data sources of this study are divided into two sources. The first source is the primary data source, and the second data source is the secondary data source. The data of this study were collected using technical techniques to note. In addition to the note-taking technique, researchers also use library techniques. The validity of the data used in this study is by source triangulation which aims to analyze problems that have been used as research objects. The results showed that there were 85 data in the Dilan 1990 film that fulfilled the principle of politeness acts which included six maxims in politeness. The details of the data in the Dilan 1990 film contained 19 data on maximal wisdom, 7 maximal award data, 14 maximal data on generosity or generosity, 12 data on maximal modesty or simplicity, 29 data on maximal match, and 4 maximal conclusions. The results of research on the second formulation of acts of politeness language in the Dilan 1990 as a from of educational character: Pragmatic study can be said to be polite.
