Abstract

The Kali Samin watershed has experienced severe erosion. Erosion reduction can be done through learning in schools by using enrichment books. This study aims to (1) Determine the development of erosion hazard enrichment books on lithospheric dynamics subject material in Karangpandan State High School, (2) Know the effectiveness of the use of erosion hazard enrichment books on learning lithospheric dynamics subject material. This type of research is research and development. The model used in this study adapted the development of the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Dissemination) developed by Thiagarajan, but restrictions were placed on the dissemination stage. This research was conducted at SMA N Karangpandan with the number of respondents from the control class 35 and from the experimental class 35 students. The study design uses pretest-posttest control group design and data analysis techniques using sample paired T-test. The results of the product development received an assessment of material experts by 4.15 from media experts 4.73 from 4.06 teachers and 4.25 from students, all of which were included in the "Good" category. Hypothesis test results show a significant value (2-tailed) <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted where the use of the erosion hazard enrichment book is effectively used. Improved learning outcomes from the control class 59% and the experimental class or those getting treatment from the enrichment book development by 69%.
