Abstract

Modern times have indeed changed all human lives, not least in the use increasingly sophisticated mobile phone. One of the android-based mobile phones has now become a basic necessity for the community both lower and upper classes. This research was written based on a survey stating the high level of accidents on the highway due to lack of understanding and lack of awareness of the public to wards traffic signs set by government. By using this android application is a means to introduce traffic signs to people who do not understand about traffic signs, especially underage children. This android application will be built using Java JDK (Java Development Kit), android Studio settings and SDK along with PDA Net. This application has passed Black Box testing and user testing. In Black Box testing the application can run well according to the initial plane of the researcher and on the implementation of this application on various android devices with different brands, different android versions and different hardware specifications. It turns out that this application can run well so that it can be passed Black Box test. Than on user testing, namely by distributing questionnaires to 34 respondents, the results of the questionnaire also showed good results, the average percentage of respondents answers from statements 1 to 10 reached 86,52%.
