Abstract
The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the application of song lyrics as a medium of fantasy story learning in SMP 2 Gatak Sukoharjo. (2) describe the song lyrics of effectiveness as learning media in SMP Negeri 2 Gatak Sukoharjo. The subject of this study wewrw students of class VII A and class VII B as the control class. The object of this research is the application of the effectiveness of song lyrics as a medium for fantasy story learning. Data collection method of observation, interviews and documentation. The result of the study showed (1) the application of song lyrics as a medium for fantasy story learning in SMP Negeri 2 Gatak Sukoharjo was successful, and carried out based on the steps. (2) the effectivennes of learning fantasy stories by using song lyrics entitled “Sepatu Super” in SMP Negeri 2 Gatak Sukoharjo as evidenced by the results obtained by students better with the contol class, and the number of respons questionnaires that have been approved by students
