Abstract
The people's attention to environmental conditions lately has greatly increased. Starting with the many campaigns for environmentally friendly products to the invitation to consume or use environmentally friendly products, ranging from everyday products to products used in the world of education. The Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) played a role in the use of environmentally friendly products including the use of facilities in the learning system in this case the lecture chair. This study aims to make lecture chairs that are environmentally friendly. The ECQFD method or Environmentally Conscious Quality Function Deployment is a method used for product development based on voice of customer or consumer needs that is tailored to the environment. ECQFD pays attention to 4 stages, where phase 1 looks at consumer voices, phase 2 is related to product components, phase 3 is about making products with 2 choices and phase 4 related to determining the highest score for the purpose of making the product. LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is used to determine the assessment of the end of product life. So that an eco-friendly student chair was formed with ferro tube material based on voice of customer which is strong.
