Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of the discipline character of the village apparatus in Makamhaji Village, Kartasura Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency in 2019. This research uses an interactive method with case studies, because it focuses on the case of developing the character of the village apparatus discipline. This research was carried out in Makamhaji Village, Kartasura District, Sukoharjo Regency. Data sources from this research are person (the village of Makamhaji), paper (organizational structure, and other documents), and place (office of the village head of Makamhaji). The speakers of this research are the Head of Makamhaji Village and 2 (two) Makamhaji Village officials. Data collection in this study used interviews and documentation. Disciplinary character indicators used are: 1) time discipline; 2) discipline to obey the rules; 3) disciplined attitude. Analysis of the data used in this research is Miles Huberman interactive model including data collection, data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing and verification. The validity of the data of this study is to use triangulation techniques and triangulation of data sources. The results showed that the development of the discipline character of the village apparatus in Makamhaji Village, Karatsura District, Sukoharjo Regency was going well. This is demonstrated by the timeliness of the presence of village officials, being disciplined in obeying regulations, responsible for carrying out their duties and functions. Efforts are made to develop the discipline character of village officials in Makamhaji Village, Kartasura Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency, namely by imposing sanctions on village officials who violate regulations, giving rewards for village officials who are in an orderly manner, and coaching in carrying out their duties and functions.
