Abstract

This research aims to design a tool for cutting and cleaning the intestines by using the benchmark method. This research was carried out in the Siami UKM, namely UKM cutting chicken. This design uses overall cutting process data but is more focused on cutting and cleansing the intestine. Benchmarking method is a intestine cutter is a pig and cow intestine cutting machine. The Benchmarking process int this tool includes object observation, literature collection, benchmarking, tool design, material selection. The result of designing this tool are aimed at cutting and cleansing the intestines faster. The creation of work station on this tool uses anthropometric data which is used as a basic for determining the size of the table in accordance with the operator.
