Abstract

Novita Ayu Nugraheni/A520150059. THERE INFLUENCE OF THE EXPERIMENTAL METHOD ON SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS OF CHILDREN AT TK PGRI 3 SUDIMORO ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2018/2019. Reseach Paper. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of the experimental method on the science process skills of group B TK PGRI 3 Sudimoro children. This research is a Pre-experimental design using one group pretest-posttest design. This data collection technique uses observation, interviews, documentation. The research subjects in this thesis are 12 children in group B, consisting of 5 boys and 7 girls aged 5-6 years. The results of the initial observation scores of children’s science process skills before the experiment was conducted with an experimental method of 232 with an average of 19,33 the highest value 22, the lowest value 16 and SD=2.309. The results of the final observation scores of children’s science process skills after conducting experiments with the experimental method amounted to 313 with an average of 26,08, the highest value of 30, the lowest value of 20 and SD=3.315. Based on these data, tcount= -10,161 t table= -1,796 tcount can be known through the analysis of SPSS 15.0 for windows and t table can be seen through the table of critical distribution values of t with df or db= 11 and α=0,5. Then it can be concluded that there is an influence of the experimental method on the science process skills of children in group B in TK PGRI 3 Sudimoro academic year 2018/2019.
