Abstract

Political geography is very interesting to study, especially in impacted areas by work programs from the government. The purpose of research are: 1) Knowing the distribution of votes for the 2014 presidential election and 2019 in the impacted areas of the Trans Java Toll Road construction in Central Java. 2) Knowing the changes in the basis of votes for the 2014 presidential election and 2019 in the impacted areas of Trans Java Toll Road construction in Central Java. 3) Knowing the relationship between toll road construction and the social and economic conditions of the community in impacted areas of the Trans Java Toll Road construction in Central Java. This research metod uses secondary data and primary data. This research metod used descriptive comparative by analyzing secondary data and primary data used to support secondary data. This study limits the vote acquisition of the presidential election in the impacted areas of the Trans-Java toll road construction in Central Java Province in 2014 and 2019. The analysis technique used is the analysis of the Geography Association Coefficient (KAG), Local Quentient (LQ), and in-depth interviews for analysis qualitative data. The unit of analysis used is district/city. The results of this research indicate that an increase in the vote acquisition of Joko Widodo in the 2019 presidential election in the impacted area of toll road construction in Central Java Province, the vote acquisition was also distributed evenly according to KAG analysts with a value of 0,153. According to the results of the LQ analysis in the 2019 presidential election in the impacted areas by of Trans-Java toll road construction in Central Java Province, there are 10 districts/cities which are the basis for Joko Widodo's vote acquisition, Surakarta City; Sragen; Karanganyar; Boyolali; Semarang city; and Pekalongan; Semarang; Kendal; Salatiga City; and Batang. Whereas the other 5 districts/cities are non-base voting areas for Joko Widodo are Brebes, Tegal, Tegal City, Pemalang, and Pekalongan City. The relationship between the construction of toll roads and the social and economic conditions in the impacted areas, that the construction of toll roads does have an positive impact on the people living in impacted areas of the Trans-Java toll road construction in Central Java Province.
