Abstract

Making a thesis is sure to drain a lot of energy, time, and costs even rarely drain emotions that eventually lead to symptoms of stress and anxiety in students. The study aims to know the relationship between confidence and anxiety to the end-level students in completing the thesis. The proposed hypothesis is there is a negative relationship between confidence and anxiety in resolving the thesis. Free variables: Confidence and variable dependent: anxiety. The population in research is the faculty of Psychology student at the end of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, amounting to 50 people, because the subject is less than 100 people then the entire population is used as the subject of research. The collection of data in this study uses a scale of self-esteem and anxiety scales, reliability of the 0.805 confidence scale and anxiety of 0.905. Data analysis results by using correlation product moment obtained rxy =-0.594; p = 0.000 (P < 0.01) means there is a very significant negative relationship between the confidence with anxiety in resolving the thesis. The higher the confidence then the lower the anxiety in completing the thesis, and the less the lower the confidence, the higher the anxiety in completing the thesis. The conclusion of this study is that there is a very significant negative relationship between confidence in anxiety, an effective donation of 35.3% confidence, meaning there are still 64.7% other factors besides the confidence Affect anxiety.
