Abstract

This study aims to: 1. Describe the application of the scientific approach, 2. Describe the obstacles experienced by the teacher in applying the scientific approach, 3. Describe the factors that cause the teacher to experience difficulties in applying the scientific approach. This research is a kind of descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques using triangulation (interviews, observation and documentation). Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The validity of this research data uses source triangulation. The results of this study are 1. The implementation of the curriculum 2013 was carried out in stages starting from classes I and IV to class VI; The ability of teachers to prepare and implement RPP curriculum 2013 is still low, 2. The teacher has not been able to integrate learning with each other; The limitations of the infrastructure facilities owned by the school hamper the process of learning activities, 3. Internal factors include the lack of teacher knowledge on the components of the curriculum 2013-based RPP and the lack of time for teachers to look for opportunities to learn and train themselves in preparing lesson plans; External factors include the lack of the role of the government in monitoring the implementation of the curriculum 2013 and the limitations of learning facilities in class such as teaching aids / learning media and teaching materials.
