Abstract

Some of the causes of balance of payments fluctuations are changes in exchange rates (kurs), gross domestic product, Amount of Money Supply (JUB) and Inflation. To that end, the authors formulate how the influence of the exchange rate variable (kurs), gross domestic product, the amount of money circulated (JUB) and inflation on the balance of payments of Indonesia. The benefits of this research are as input for the government in making policies related to Indonesia's balance of payments. This study uses the analysis tool used in this study is time series data regression analysis with a model of multiple linear regression analysis (OLS Ordinary Least Square). The data used in this research is secondary data. In this case statistical books are published by institutions or agencies, namely Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), which are sources that are relevant to this research. where the data collected is calculated based on data from the last twenty-five years from 1992-2017. The results of the analysis show that the variable exchange rate (kurs) and gross domestic product (GDP) have a negative and significant effect on Indonesia's balance of payments in 1992-2017. While the variable money supply (JUB) has a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's balance of payments in 1992-2017. While the inflation variable did not significantly influence Indonesia's balance of payments in 1992-2017.
