Abstract

The form of communication carried out by the community is thwe utterance of every meaning in a speech that has an implict or explicit meaning. Utterence raises an influence on what is said by the parner to do something called a speech act. Pragmatics examines the intent of speaker in telling a particular lingual unit in a language. The aim of this study (1) describe the form of representative speech acts stating, informing something, suggest, explain and show in the editorial in the 2019 edition of the solopos newspaper, (2) describe the function of representative speech acts collaborative informing, convival suggesting, and competitively demanding in the editorial in the 2019 edition of the solopos newspaper. This reseach is a qualitative. Reseach collection af research obtained from the January 2019 issue of Solopos newspaper. retrivel of data sources from the solopos edition of the published newspaper everyday there are 21 editorials analyzed according to the form and function of representatif speech acts. The type research used is qualitative research. The research data is the sebtence contained in the editorial. The result of the study are representative speech acts to 1 declare, 12 inform something, 3 suggest, 4 explain, and 5 indicating. Collaborative function 6 inform, konvival 4 suggests and 8 competitively demands.
