Abstract

Preparation of planting on dry land in Mayong Subdistrict was carried out during the dry season by clearing the land so that the land was deforested, this occurred in the preparation of cassava planting with increasing planting area (1,307 ha in 2013 and 1,472 ha in 2017. Land conditions without vegetation cover with rainfall of 1695.67 mm resulted in soil erosion.The aim of this study was to analyze the extent of soil erosion and the distribution of soil erosion in Mayong District, Jepara Regency.The research was conducted in December 2018 to April 2019. The method used in this study is map analysis and secondary data analysis accompanied by field work and laboratory analysis. Sampling is based on land units, soil samples taken at the top soil (0-30) cm depth on dry land. The soil parameters analyzed were Texture, C. Organic and Permaebilitas. The analysis used uses the USLE calculation method and is classified according to PP No. 150 of 2000. Soil samples were analyzed at the Laboratory of Chemical and Soil Fertility, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. The results showed that soil erosion in Mayong District was very mild to moderate. Very mild erosion occurred in the V4KMCLHIII (Pine Forest) land unit of 6.75 tons / ha / yr, mild erosion occurred in the V11MCKCI land unit of 51.61 tons / ha / yr and V11KMCLKCII land units of 30.35 tons / ha / in the year Erosion is occurring in V8KMCLKCIII land units of 101.71 tons / ha / year and V8KMCLKCII land units of 86.67 to / ha / yr. The results of the study are presented in the map of Mayong District soil erosion level of 1: 100,000.
