Abstract
Lower back pain is pain that is felt in the lower back area, can be local pain, radicular pain, or both. Aquatic Therapy is actually a therapeutic method with a low-tech approach that relies on the body's responses to water. Understanding Aquatic Therapy is a method of therapy using stretching in the water. In water training at 37 degrees Celsius, the thermal stimulus to increase heart rate overcomes the centralization of peripheral blood flow due to hydrostatic pressure. In this study the type of research that will be used is experimental research, with a quasi experimental design research approach, with two groups pretest and post test design with control. The sample in this study were 18 respondents divided into 9 treatment groups and 9 control groups. The instrument in this study used the Oswetry Disability Index. Based on statistical tests, there is a significant influence of Aquatic Therapy while there is no significant effect on physiotherapy modalities in increasing functional activity. The Paired sample T test in the treatment group p <0.005 while the control group p> 0.005. Conclusions: There is a significant influence in Aquatic Therapy and there is no influence in physiotherapy modalities.
